Hence, why I named the special after them.  You can also thank Emily Convers and her cadre of angry drunken supporters like Greg Gilligan   for putting your home underwater. So, next time you see Emily shopping at Shoprite you can thank her for nuking your home's value. Caliber Home Loans Busted Selling Private Information To Convicted Kiddie Porn Peddler & Peeping Tom MFI-Miami has discovered Caliber Home Loans is selling private loan information to convicted sex offenders. We discovered this quite by accident and because Caliber Home Loans and the sex offender dropped the ball. Last week, we received a solicitation letter addressed to our client, Mary from Serenity Financial Serves in California. Mary is in active foreclosure litigation with Lone Star Funds with Caliber Home Loans is servicing the loan. Lone Star Funds has a 50% stake in Caliber Home Loans. The solicitation letter also contained specific information about Mary's loan. So we know Serenity Financial Services got Mary's information either directly or indirectly from Caliber. MFI-Miami did an in

Serenity Financial Services - SCAM ALERT

Image
Serenity Financial Services Mails Solicitation Saying People Qualify For Non-Existent Government Programs Serenity Financial Services in California better lawyer up. I see a major lawsuit coming from the California Attorney General or the Federal Trade Commission in their future. The mailing makes you think you just got an official letter from a federal government agency. The only problem is there is no return address. Yet it still looks like an official government letter. The body of the solicitation from Serenity Financial Services is just as misleading. Ever hear of the government program,  Making Homes Affordable Program? According to this letter, homeowners qualify for it. The solicitation even uses the HAMP logo. The letter also claims the homeowner is eligible for a 30% principal write-down and a 2% interest rate: This notice is to advise you that pursuant to the Making Home Affordable government program, you are eligible for mortgage assistanc

Manhattan Foreclosure Cases Speed Up As Courts Implement Rocket Docket.  Manhattan judges have implemented a rocket docket for Manhattan foreclosure cases. It seems the end is near for Manhattan homeowners hoping to take advantage of the borough's notorious long foreclosure litigation time.   Other New York counties are taking Brooklyn's lead in dealing with Manhattan foreclosure cases. Counties across the New York Metro area have also begun implementing similar rocket docket procedures. County governments expect foreclosure litigation times to dropped by 75% by the end of 2018. The Empire State had an average foreclosure litigation time of 36-48 months in 2015. The average foreclosure litigation time across New York is expected to hit 12 months. Supreme Court Judges want to cut it under six months. Multiple factors on the federal and state level have attributed to this drastic cut.  The End of HAMP Speeds Up Manhattan Foreclosure Cases The Home Afforda

Citimortgage Recruits Knuckles To Foreclosure On Retired Veteran

Citimortgage Pursues Foreclosure Against Veteran With The Zeal Of A Fat Guy At An All-You-Can-Eat Buffet Citimortgage has pursued Tom and Sandy Lennon with the zeal of a fat guy at an All-You-Can-Eat Chinese buffet. All Tom and Sandy Lennon wanted to do in 2008 was retire to Naples, Florida and play golf. The last thing they wanted was a decade-long legal battle with Citimortgage. Unfortunately, that is exactly what they got thanks to the 2008 financial collapse. Overnight, they discovered their house in Warwick, New York had lost 75% of its value. The Lennons soon found they couldn't sell their home. So they asked their lender, Citimortgage (Citi) for a short sale or a Cash-For-Keys deal. Citi oddly enough refused. The decision was odd because it made no sense at the time. The federal government had just bailed out Citi and every other lender was cutting deals. One of the requirements to receive  TARP money  was that the recipients had to assist homeowners.
