Wells Fargo Bank Teller Admits He Stole $185,000 From Homeless Customer Who Walked In With Bag Of Cash A former Wells Fargo bank teller at a Washington DC branch stole more than $185,000 from a homeless customer. Phelon Davis pleaded guilty in the US District Court to interstate transportation of stolen property. Davis will likely spend 18 to 30 months in prison. The former Wells Fargo bank teller agreed to a plea agreement that requires him to pay back the $185,400. Davis' crimes were considered interstate because he transferred stolen money between the nation's capital and Maryland. The homeless man was a street vendor and a long-time customer of the branch. He brought a large amount of cash in a bag to the bank branch. The customer wanted to deposit in October 2014 but he lacked identification. Davis told the customer where to get ID documents and a Social Security card. Read more here   Check us out on Facebook

David Trott Introduces Bill That Would Indemnify His Former Firm from Liabilities Under The Dodd-Frank Act And The FDCPA Congressman David Trott has introduced a bill (HR 1849) that would allow law firms to sidestep federal laws barring abusive debt-collection practices. The bill would allow firms like Trott Law to continue to make false threats and pressuring people to pay debts they don’t actually owe. Something Trott Law and Trott & Trott have been doing for nearly two decades. Everyone in foreclosure defense industry sees a conflict of interest for Trott because it benefits his former foreclosure law firm. Trott Law PC and Trott & Trott (the firm's previous name) is Michigan's largest foreclosure mill. Trott Law and Trott & Trott have been sued repeatedly in federal court. Homeowners continually allege violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The law firm disputes the allegations. Read more here: David Trott

Reverse Mortgages: What You Need to Know So You Don't Get Burned

What You Need to Know About Reverse Mortgages What are Reverse Mortgages? Reverse mortgages are home equity loans that allow you to convert part of the equity into cash. This can be an attractive option for senior citizens who may find themselves "house rich" but "cash poor." Equity is the difference between the appraised value of your home and your outstanding mortgage balance. The equity in your home rises as the size of your mortgage shrinks and/or your property value grows. In a reverse mortgage, you are borrowing money against the amount of equity in your home. As the name says, reverse mortgages work like a traditional mortgage, only in reverse. Instead of a borrower making payments to a lender, the lender makes payments to the borrower. Most reverse mortgages do not require payment of principal, interest, and fees as long as you live in your home. The homeowner can use the money for anything. The lender will require the homeowner pay off the bal

HECM Rules Allow Spouses Of Reverse Mortgage Borrowers To Remain In The Home

HECM Rules Allow Spouses Of Reverse Mortgage Borrowers To Remain In The Home FHA announced changes to its HECM aka reverse mortgage program two years ago. Yet, many people are unaware that this change allows non-borrowing spouses to stay in their homes after the last surviving borrower dies. FHA released new guidance  earlier this year allowing FHA-approved lenders to delay foreclosure proceedings against non-borrowing spouses. Non-borrower spouses will be allowed to stay in the home in the event of the death of the borrower. Read more at  HECM Rules

So, You're Being Investigated For Mortgage Fraud?

Contrary To What The Prosecutor May Allege, You Committed Mortgage Fraud, Doesn't Mean You're Guilty. Clients accused of mortgage fraud tell MFI-Miami they didn't know they were committing a crime. In most cases, mortgage fraud suspects are usually right. The fraud is in the imagination of the prosecutor or U.S. Attorney with political ambitions. Most prosecutors have Kardashian Syndrome. In most cases, prosecutors tend to target amateur real estate investors and homeowners they know can't afford high-end lawyers. Prosecutors figure they can get a quick conviction and fine from the individual. They can also get their name on the news. Federal and state prosecutors tend to prefer going after these types of individuals because it's a numbers game. Prosecutors can extract fines from 10 homeowners or amateur investors faster and more cheaply than one deep pocketed bank executive.  Prosecutors often have to decide is it wiser to spend tens of millions of dol

Franklin Graham Favors Bestiality Over Homosexuality

Bible Thumping Huckster Franklin Graham Favors Abusive Bestiality Relationships Over Homosexuality Franklin Graham is trying to rile up his delusional Christian base again. This time he wants his flock to boycott Disney's live action version of the Beauty and the Beast . Why? Franklin Graham seems fixated on a guy named LeFou. Lefou is a gay secondary character with a 30-second scene in the movie. LeFou apparently has a "moment" with the villain Gaston. Graham doesn't object to other plot points in the film. Plot points that would be blasphemous if you invoke Graham's interpretation of biblical scripture. Let's start with the hero, "The Beast." The Beast looks like a cross between a buffalo and Pan the Pagan god . Yet, Graham doesn't seem to have an issue with this.  Graham seems to be okay with Belle being forced into subjugative bestiality.  Read more here:  Franklin Graham Favors Bestiality Over Homosexuality

Carrington Mortgage To Throw Korean War Hero To The Street

Image
Korean War Hero Faces Being Homeless Thanks To Carrington Mortgage And Being Scammed By A Michigan Lawyer  Large mortgage servicers like Carrington Mortgage seem to care more about their bottom line than our nation's military. Soldiers and sailors are coming home from battle only to find they have no home. Some have been fortunate to sue their lender and be victorious. Yet, the vast majority of servicemembers and veterans haven't been so lucky.  Bob Chalice is a combat veteran of the Korean War. He was a Navy gunner during the Battle of Inchon. He also shot down Chinese and North Korean planes during   Operation Wonsan . You would think Carrington Mortgage would be honoring this man and his service. Nope. Carrington Mortgage and their lawyer, Randall Miller and Associates had other ideas. They decided to take Bob Chalice's money and then foreclose on him and his family anyway. Miller is the brother of prominent Michigan Democratic politician Lisa Brown .

Student Loan Debt Relief: SCAM ALERT

Image
Fraudulent Student Loan Debt Relief Companies Are Preying On The Most Vulnerable Student Borrowers A NerdWallet investigation has found fraudulent student loan debt relief companies are preying on the most vulnerable with student loans. Federal agencies dispute who’s to blame and what to do. The CFPB and the Federal Trade Commission have closed only seven companies that have scammed consumers. The scam outfits make rosy promises to borrowers promising reduced and forgiven student loan debt. NerdWallet discovered more than 130 student loan debt relief businesses with records of questionable or illegal behavior. State and federal documents nationwide identified companies hit by lawsuits and court actions or negative. Some of these bogus student loan debt relief companies also had owners who couldn’t manage their own debts. NerdWallet found many of the businesses are also still fleecing borrowers. Some charge illegal upfront fees and monthly dues for debt consolidation

A Reverse Mortgage Can Subject You To Foreclosure If You Don't Follow The Rules

A Reverse Mortgage Can Subject You To Foreclosure If You Don't Follow The Rules  A reverse mortgage is available to senior citizens aged 62 or over. These specialized loans essentially use the equity in a home as the basis for cash payments to the senior. Seniors can utilize these payments to supplement Social Security and other income.    Passes away    If the senior dies the heirs can pay off the debt and deed the property to the lender. They can also sell the property for at least 95% of the appraised value. Otherwise, the lender will foreclose. Move Elsewhere If the borrower moves to a nursing home, most lenders offer the borrower one year to sell the property.  In the event the borrower does not return in that period, he or she will need to repay the reverse mortgage. If not, the lender can foreclose. However, if the borrower simply moves out of the home, and even rents it out, the lender will require repayment immediately or they can move to foreclose.

Former Financial Terrorist David Trott Announces Retirement From Congress Former Financial Terrorist David Trott aka El Gringo Bandito is leaving Congress at the end of his term. Trott announced his retirement Monday morning.  House Republicans were already bracing for a brutal 2018 election and Trott's retirement doesn't help. Democrats are giddy as they see another competitive district opening up with Trott's retirement.  President Trump won Trott's suburban Detroit district by 50% to 45%. Mitt Romney also won the district by roughly the same percentage in 2012. Yet, President Obama won it in 2008 and Democrats were already looking at Trott as a potential 2018 target. Trott said in his retirement statement: I have decided not to seek reelection in 2018. This was not an easy decision. I have decided that the best course for me is to spend more time with my family and return to the private sector. Financial Terrorist David Trott is also the fourth

Does United Monroe Have Secret Sugar Daddies?

IRS Filings Show United Monroe's Non-Profit Has Secret Sugar Daddies Rumors of who has been secretly financing United Monroe have run rampant throughout Monroe for years. Rumors that persisted because United Monroe members would get drunk at The Captain's Table or Bourbon Street Bar  and brag about the money United Monroe was raking in to "STOP THE JEWS!" United Monroe Leader Emily Convers tried to keep a tight lid on officially disclosing where United Monroe's money was coming from. That was until I posted their donor list last year. United Monroe leaders have also kept a tight grip on the financial disclosures of their non-profit, Preserve Hudson Valley (PHV). A non-profit Convers established in 2014 with John Allegro, Rich Cannava and Karen Hall. That is until MFI-Miami got copies of PHV's IRS filings that you can read below. Student Loan Debt Forgiveness May Be History In Trump Budget

Image
Billionaire Trust Fund Baby Turned Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos Wants To Eliminate Student Loan Debt Forgiveness Donald Trump may eliminate Student Loan Debt Forgiveness in his first budget. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has also publicly stated she strongly favors eliminating the Student Loan Debt Forgiveness plan. In addition, Betsy DeVos has failed to state how she plans to deal with federal student loans in the future.  Reports as of last May are that Trump and DeVos’ initial education budget will seek to eliminate the Student Loan Debt Forgiveness program. This would cost student loan borrowers billions of dollars. Yet, it would reap millions of dollars for the DeVos family. The DeVoses hold a sizeable stake in several student loan providers. Trump and DeVos also want to eliminate over $700 million in Perkins Loans and massively reduce work-study programs. Read more at  Student Loan Debt Forgiveness May Be History In Trump Budget
