Financial Terrorist David Trott Quitting Congress

Former Financial Terrorist David Trott Announces Retirement From Congress

Financial Terrorist David Trott

Former Financial Terrorist David Trott aka El Gringo Bandito is leaving Congress at the end of his term. Trott announced his retirement Monday morning.

House Republicans were already bracing for a brutal 2018 election and Trott's retirement doesn't help. Democrats are giddy as they see another competitive district opening up with Trott's retirement.
President Trump won Trott's suburban Detroit district by 50% to 45%. Mitt Romney also won the district by roughly the same percentage in 2012. Yet, President Obama won it in 2008 and Democrats were already looking at Trott as a potential 2018 target.

Trott said in his retirement statement:

Financial Terrorist David Trott is also the fourth Republican from a competitive district to retire. Republican strategists are bracing for more retirements in tough swing districts. Members tend to announce retirement plans either in early September.
