COVID-19 RELIEF FRAUD ALERT! Florida Man Busted For Buying Sports Cars And Wining And Dining Whores With PPP Bailout Money MFI-Miami has issued it’s first COVID-19 Relief Fraud Alert and this one is big! The federal government  has indicted Relocation company owner David T. Hines . Prosecutors allege Hines lied to Bank of America in an attempt to pocket $13.5 million in PPP bailout loans. Bank of America approved three of the applications for $3.9 million. The bank began sending the funds to Hines on May 11th. Hines’ four South Florida moving businesses applied for seven SBA loans totaling $13.5 million through the BofA. Hines claimed the money was to cover the costs of at least 70 employees with a monthly payroll of $4 million. However, the bank approved three of his applications, totaling $3,984,557. The reality was that Hines’ companies showed monthly revenue and expenses averaging about $200,000. This is far less than the millions of dollars in payroll that Hines sought in the PPP

The Grim Reaper Of Retail Claims Another Victim As Mall Owner CBL Plans On Filing For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy The grim reaper has dealt another blow to the agonizing death of American retail. Mall owner  CBL & Associates Properties  is preparing to file for bankruptcy according to people with knowledge of the plans. CBL operates 110 shopping malls in the United States. The company is negotiating with its lenders in an effort to enter Chapter 11 with a consensual restructuring agreement in place. However, bankruptcy restructuring plans aren’t final and elements could change. CBL declined to comment about their pending bankruptcy. CBL operates mostly so-called Class B malls. The struggles of retailers have impacted the mall owner.  The struggles of Dick’s Sporting Goods and Ascena Retail Group have hit CBL’s bottom line hard. Morbidly Obese Sheriff From Michigan Creates A Dragnet To Chase Down Guy From Facebook Who Called Him A Fat Ass An obese Michigan sheriff created a dragnet of detectives to investigate a Facebook message he received calling him a fat ass. Newschannel 3  in Kalamazoo, MI obtained the report through an FOIA request. The report revealed Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller ordered detectives to hunt down the man accused of sending the message. Calling your elected officials names is not a crime. Yet, the report showed Fuller sent a squad of detectives to talk to the man. The man allegedly wrote the sheriff on Facebook saying: You’re a fat ass who needs to go on a diet. Stop us from living. Casa faced a serious backlash  from a video  he sent to prominent influencers in the mortgage industry. Miqueli was  accused of embezzling $1 million  from his Bronx parish in 2015. New Homeowners In Suburban Detroit Find Charred Human Skull In Backyard Fire Pit Left By The Previous Owner Mark Alan Eberly New homeowners in the Detroit suburb of Trenton were tidying up the backyard of their new home. They discovered a charred human skull in the backyard fire pit. Trenton police confirmed a human skull was discovered in the fire pit at the house. Federal Prosecutors Allege Florida Attorney And CPA Charged Swindled Frail Old People Out Of $6.2 Million Federal Prosecutors have  indicted  Florida attorney Phillip Roy Wasserman and CPA Kenneth Murry Rossman with a plethora of white-collar crimes. The government has charged them with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and mail fraud. In addition, the government has charged them with wire fraud and mail fraud. Federal prosecutors are also seeking restitution of $6.2 million. Wasserman and Rossman each face a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison. Judge Rules Against Landlords Challenging NY Governor Cuomo’s Eviction Moratorium NY landlords are shellshocked! A federal judge upheld the NYS eviction moratorium. Judge Colleen McMahon rejected a challenge by a group of  New York  landlords who were seeking to end Governor Andrew Cuomo’s executive order. Cuomo extended the state’s moratorium on evictions until August 20th. The  order temporarily prohibits  landlords from initiating eviction proceedings against tenants during the pandemic. The order also bans late payments or fees for missed rent payments. The moratorium also allows renters who are facing financial hardships to use their security deposit as payment. However, the renter must repay their security deposit at a later date. Three Westchester-based landlords sued Cuomo in an attempt to block his executive order.
