Image
Civil Rights Groups Sue BofA Claiming BofA Violated Fair Housing Act Civil rights groups are coming together to bring a lawsuit against Bank of America and Safeguard Properties Management. They claim that Safeguard and BofA violated the Fair Housing Act. The National Fair Housing Alliance and two homeowners from Maryland filed a lawsuit against the two companies. The 19 groups that make up the Alliance claim the two companies failed to provide routine exterior maintenance for Bank of America-owned homes in minority neighborhoods across 37 metro areas. They also claim BofA and Safeguard failed to market the properties. The National Fair Housing Alliance compared the properties with mostly white neighborhoods. The Alliance alleges BofA consistently maintained its homes in predominately white neighborhoods The groups say they found shocking evidence of wildly overgrown grass and weeds which is the least of the problems. Image

And like a drunken sailor, they saw their all-in bet go down in flames to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Cortez is a 28-year-old socialist  who made New York’s affordable housing crisis a focal point of her Democratic primary campaign. She defeated Crowley by a stunning 15 point margin in Tuesday’s primary. Crowley represents New York’s 14th Congressional District. The district covers Queens and parts of the Bronx. Catty Wells Fargo Retaliation Against Critics Has A Long History

Image
Catty Wells Fargo Retaliation Against Critics Has A Long Cold & Calculated History That Goes Back Nearly A Decade Wells Fargo retaliation against their critics has been going on for a nearly a decade. The attempted retaliation is catty in its nature and shows how immature, egomaniacal, and/or narcissistic their executives are. Take your pick. Wells Fargo executives are also almost as entertaining as watching the catfights between  Joan Collins and Linda Evans on the old TV show, Dynast y.  It’s also ineffective and makes Wells Fargo look extremely bad because it usually blows up in their face. Financial Web Sites Were The First To Feel Wells Fargo Retaliation ML-Implode Feels The Wrath Of Wells Fargo Retaliation Wells Fargo retaliation against websites began in 2012. Alternative financial website ML-Implode posted stories by blogger Martin Andelman about Wells Fargo jerking around former Wells Fargo customer Norman Rousseau. NAHB Says New Home Prices Will Increase 20% Due To Trump’s Double-Digit Tariff On Canadian Lumber Home prices expected to jump 20% due to President Trump’s crackdown on immigration and tariff on Canadian lumber. The National Association of Home Builders expects new home prices to jump 20%. NAHB Economist Dietz expressed his concerns with the National Association of Real Estate Editors conference in Las Vegas yesterday. One of the top issues for the homebuilding industry is the increase in new home prices. Dietz said it is being caused by tariffs on Canadian softwood lumber  imposed  last year by the Trump administration. Dietz told the journalists at the conference: We have an effective 20% tariff rate right now on Canadian softwood lumber. A lumber tariff is very much a tax on homeowners and renters.  Read more at MFI-Miami

Image
Mick Mulvaney, the George Costanza Of The Trump Administration Is Out At CFPB The CFPB Acting Director Mick Mulvaney has become the George Costanza of the Trump Administration. CFPB Acting Director Mick Mulvaney has stood at the helm of the bureau since November. He has run the  bureau  like George Costanza ran the New York Yankees on the TV show,  Seinfeld . He has become an embarrassment to the Trump administration. The reality-show obsessed President Trump wants him gone. There are also a few factors making it easier for Trump to kick Mulvaney to the curb like a  prom night dumpster baby . The acting director can only serve for six months unless there is another candidate going through the nomination process. Trump has a deadline of June 22, 2018, to name a new director. Mulvaney recently told  Bloomberg  he was informed by the administration that it plans to nominate a permanent director next week. White House insiders say the President is expected to name National C

Real Estate Groups Riled Up As GOP Controlled Congress Lets Net Neutrality Die Real estate groups nationwide and real estate websites are preparing for the worst. On Monday Net Neutrality officially died thanks to GOP congressional leaders. Net neutrality had become popular even among groups who initially opposed it.  However, certain congressional leaders and Trump sycophant turned  FCC Chairman Ajit Pai . Net Neutrality prevented internet service companies from charging users more money to see certain content. It also allowed larger companies to pay providers to allow their content to have faster download speeds. The Federal Communications Commission repealed net neutrality regulations last year. However, the Senate voted to block the repeal back in May and  passed a measure  to restore net neutrality. Unfortunately, House Speaker Paul Ryan and his  whip Steve “Sleazy” Scalise  have blocked net neutrality in the House of Representatives. The real estate industry has oppo

Foreclosure Rates Are The Highest In These 10 States. NY Ranks #1

Image
Foreclosure Rates Are The Highest In These 10 States And It Shows The Housing Crisis Is Far From Over Homeowners who play DIY lawyer usually lose their foreclosure cases and set bad legal precedence. Then blame mass government conspiracies for their loss. Foreclosure rates are on a downward trend on average throughout the United States. Yet, some states continue to struggle with property owners defaulting on their loans. It’s also proof that the financial crisis is far from over. It seems like homeowners don’t seek the help they need when a personal financial crisis begins. There are a plethora of ways to help homeowners at the beginning of a crisis. However, those options rapidly dwindle as time goes and they do nothing. Homeowners do nothing for multiple reasons and it is usually due to arrogance. This sense of arrogance is especially relevant in suburbia and it’s what drives up the foreclosure rates. Homeowners in foreclosure are usually broken into two groups. First, a
