Is Facebook Harakiri Is Right For Your Business?

Five Reasons Why Now May Be The Right Time For Businesses To Commit Facebook Harakiri

facebook harakiriWhat is Facebook Harakiri? Facebook Harakiri is when you kill your Facebook account and end your presence on the social media site.
Usually, individuals who do it for various reasons. However, now may be time for businesses to seriously consider it.
I am currently considering performing Facebook Harakiri for MFI-MiamiWhy? Month after month Facebook has been MFI-Miami’s worst-performing referral source for internet traffic.
MFI-Miami has over 4600 followers and over another 3000 followers on various other Facebook pages. My personal page has over 3000 friends.
Yet, the MFI-Miami website has only averaged 40-50 monthly click-throughs from Facebook in the past six months. This is a 75% drop from a year ago and that was down 75%-80% from 2015.
MFI-Miami averaged between 1500 and 2000 click-throughs from Facebook when we began marketing on the site in 2012. That steadily increased to 3000 click-throughs until 2015. Click-through rates began plummeting in 2016.
I experimented with various different techniques including paid blast outs. I began creating various regional business pages like Queens Foreclosure Defense and New York Foreclosure Defense and began posted articles to those pages after traffic started plummeting with the paid blast outs.
Thus, I have come to the conclusion that Facebook is no longer a viable option for marketing.
There a number of reasons for this and not all of them are the fault of Facebook leadership. It has to do with how people behave on social media.
