Slimy Florida Landlord Uses Ejection Law To Evict 91-Year Old Tenant To Evade Florida's COVID-19 Eviction Moratorium

The slimy Florida landlord in South Beach is suing his tenant for alleged nonpayment. However, landlord Joshua Goldberg filed the claim as an “ejectment” rather than an eviction. 

Goldberg alleges he previously canceled the rental agreement with his tenant. As a result, an ejectment would allow him to get rid of the resident.

Goldberg filed the case against Hector D. Alvarez and his father, Hector D. Alvarez Sr. citing breach of contract. He is also suing for unlawful detainer. Goldberg alleges the tenant refuses to leave the unit.

Alvarez Sr., who is 91, is the tenant. Alvarez Junior is on the lease as well and lives in the unit next door.

House Candidate Jennifer Suidan Accused Of Embezzling $100,000 From Elected Official’s Campaign Account A Michigan House candidate is accused of embezzling more than $100,000 from another politician’s campaign funds. Jennifer Suidan  allegedly embezzled more than $100,000 from Oakland County Treasurer Andy Meisner’s campaign account. Meisner made the allegations at a  news conference from the  Goodman Acker  law firm. Suidan worked at the law firm and was fired because of the alleged embezzlement. She worked as a nonlawyer managing the campaign funds at the law firm for Meisner and other Democrats. The prominent suburban Detroit law firm handles primarily personal injury claims.
