Feds Allege Florida Law Firm, Advocate Law Groups of Florida Targeted Hispanics In Loan Modification Scam United States Attorney’s Office in Orlando has filed a lawsuit alleging that a Florida law firm has violated the federal Fair Housing Act. The USAO alleges the firm intentionally discriminated against Hispanic homeowners. The firm allegedly suckered non-English speaking clients into a predatory mortgage loan modification and foreclosure rescue scheme. The complaint names Advocate Law Groups of Florida PA. It also names principal attorney Jon B. Lindeman and his wife, Ephigenia K. Lindeman. The complaint alleges the Lindemans deliberately targeted Non-English speaking Hispanic homeowners with an unfair and predatory loan modification and foreclosure rescue services between 2009 and 2015.
