CORONAVIRUS MORTGAGE FORBEARANCE WARNING! FHA-OIG Busts Mortgage Servicers Deceiving Homeowners  MFI-Miami has issued a  Coronavirus Mortgage Forbearance Warning!  The FHA-OIG has issued a scathing report saying mortgage servicers are deceiving homeowners about Coronavirus Mortgage forbearance programs. HUD and FHA refused to publicly say which mortgage servicers were deceiving homeowners. However, they did say they have put them on notice.  HUD-OIG said it reviewed the websites of the top 30 FHA servicers. These mortgage servicers account for 90.5% of all servicing on FHA loans. The CARES Act stipulates that a borrower can request a 180-day forbearance by FHA or a GSE lender if they are experiencing a COVID-19-related hardship. Read more at MFI-Miami

Lawsuit Claims Wells Fargo Shuffled and Played Favorites With Paycheck Protection Program Applications A California-based company filed a class-action lawsuit against Wells Fargo. The lawsuit cites unfair actions with businesses applying for the Paycheck Protection Program. The Treasury Department announced the $349 billion forgivable loan program last month. The government set up the loan program for small businesses to pay employees during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The fund  ran out of money on Friday . The lawsuit alleges that Wells Fargo unfairly prioritized businesses seeking large loan amounts. However, the Small Business Administration said that PPP loan applications would be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. The lawsuit also states Wells Fargo did this so the bank would receive millions of more dollars in processing fees by  prioritizing the applications that would make the bank the most money. New York State Courts Are Open For Business! Lawyers And Judges Are Revving Up To Resume Foreclosures and Evictions! New York State courts are back in business. They will be conducting hearing telephonically and electronic hearings through Skype. Chief Judge Janet DiFiore’s made the announcement last week of New York’s transformation to a virtual court system. Chief Administrative Judge Lawrence Marks laid out the guidelines for the implementation of the system.  Pending cases  may proceed exclusively via Skype for Business effective this week. Strip Club Operators Sue The Feds For Discrimination The federal government appears to be discriminating against adult entertainers and strip club workers. Why? The CARES Act blocks them and their employers from a $349 billion emergency lending program. The SBA program is designed to help employees and businesses affected by the coronavirus outbreak.  Jason Mohney oversees a national strip club empire is not happy about it. As a result, he filed a discrimination lawsuit. The lawsuit also exposes a regulation in the federal Paycheck Protection Program. The program prohibits loans to businesses that provide live performances of a  “prurient sexual nature.” The regulation also discriminates against an $8 billion industry. Sicko Landlords Are At It Again! They Are Caught Offering Lower Rent To Female Tenants In Exchange For Sex  Sicko landlords are at it again. The BBC has busted a handful of landlords on camera. Yes, you guessed it! They were offering female tenants rent and utility waivers in exchange for sex. Undercover BBC News journalists  secretly recorded  several sicko landlords informing undercover reporters offering various sex-for-rent deals. Several of the Craigslist ads also used very direct descriptions. They included,  “Double room for a naughty girl for exchange of favors.
